- Quotation are invited for Hiring and Erection of Statutory Inspection Scaffolding for Boiler 5 at Hwange Power Station. Hwange power station is a coal fired thermal power plant situated in the north-western part of Zimbabwe. It has a combined installation capacity of 920MW constituted of 4 x 120MW units and 2 x 220MW units. The boilers are responsible for the supply of steam needed to turn the turbines. The boiler is lined with tubes that are exposed to temperatures of over 450 degrees. This specification covers the supply and erection of the Statutory Inspection scaffolding to be used during the inspection and repair of the boiler tubes on unit 5 boiler plant and equipment for the generation of power.
