- Tenders are invited for Provision of 3rd and 4th Party Ndt Independent Inspectorate Services at Hwange Power Station Pre-bid meeting and Site Visit A pre-bid meeting will be held at Hwange Power Station in Zimbabwe on 22nd of July 2021 at 10:00hrs. The Bidders, at their own responsibility and risk, are advised to visit and examine the Site of Works and its surroundings and obtain for itself all information that may be necessary for preparing the Tender and entering into a contract for the Provision of Station Cleaning Services at Hwange Power Station. Attendance of Site Visit is compulsory. The costs of visiting the Site shall be at the Bidder-s own expense. The Bidder and any of its personnel or agents will be granted permission by the Employer to enter the premises and lands for the purpose of such inspection, but only upon the express condition that the prospective Bidder, its personnel or agents, will release and indemnify the Employer and its personnel and agents from and against all liability and will be responsible for personnel injury (whether fatal or otherwise), loss or damage to property and any other loss, damage, costs and expenses however caused, which but for the exercise of such permission would not have arisen. SCOPE OF WORKS The two contractors (3rd part and 4th part independent inspection authority) shall jointly perform NDTs on the boiler, produce a report of the NDTs and interpret the results of the NDTs report All NDTs shall be done in accordance and meet the requirements specified in the RGN 279 of 1976 and EN 12952 of 2002 (the specification of the boiler standard) The methods of testing shall be as listed below or any other modern technology certified by the Chief Factories and Works Inspector and applicable to Hwange power station boilers The Inspection Authority shall carry out the following scope of works (NB: Inspection Authority shall not be limited to these areas only but to its satisfaction and the satisfaction of the Factories Inspector can go beyond this scope) and supply the resources as when and where required on the boiler plant: Supply all test equipment and consumables, Visual inspections on boiler plant, Ultrasonic tests on boiler plant, Magnetic particle inspections on boiler plant, Liquid penetrant tests on boiler plant, Radiographic/ X Ray tests on boiler plant, Witness all the visits by the Factories and works Inspector during the overhaul works, Produce reports on all NDTs tests performed on the boiler plant and submit to ZPC pressure parts engineer latest a day after testing, Provide own personal protective equipment during the whole period of the major overhaul Provide accommodation and subsistence for all its staff during the whole period of the major overhaul, Provide own transport to and from work site during the period of the major overhaul
