- Tenders are invited for Servicing, Calibrating and Assizing of Coal Intake Weigh Bridges 1 and 2 at Hwange Power Station. Services to be performed Scope of w ork for - Service, calibrate and assize coal intake weigh bridges 1 and 2 At Hwange Power Station Scope: Service, calibrate and assize 2 weigh bridges at Hwange Power Station. This work shall be divided into two parts were initially the contractor shall carry out extensive once off maintenance as defined below. Thereafter it is the intention of ZPC to establish a service contract for the regular maintenance of the weighbridges for a period stretching over two years. The weighbridges in question are a product of are Avery Weigh- Tronix. They are above surface BridgeMont BMS steel deck road weighbridge with a platform size of 24m x 3.35m and a capacity of 80tons. Each weighbridge has a total of 10 load cells type WBT- 75K. The scale types for the 2 weighbridges are as given below: i. Avery weigh-tronix El 110 serial number 111950589 and ii. Avery weigh-tronix ZM305 serial number 154750221. Once off service i. Carryout structural integrity assessment for the deck and concrete attachments and replace/repair as necessary. ii. Replace all 10 load cells per weighbridge and associated cabling and mounting accessories and junction boxes . iii. All load cell cabling should be run through stainless steel (grade 316) conduits from the source to the point of termination. iv. Install a Heavy duty IP68 rated stainless steel, grade AISI316L, junction box on an appropriate position on the deck for termination of all load cells. The material ot construction should be at least 1,5mm thick and the door should be screwed on by an appropriate number of screws to ensure the degree of ingress protection is maintained. v. Installation of a conduit through which the on-deck junction box can be linked to the electronic equipment in the control rooms. This should be covered with concrete on the horizontal potions and treated such that it-s not weakened by ultraviolet radiation on the exposed areas. vi. Calibrate and assize the weighbridges after the service is completed vii. Carry out a software and hardware upgrade of the avcry weigh tronix system. Regular maintenance Service, calibrate and assize 2 weigh bridges every 6 months for a period of 2 years. The service should include but not limited to: i. Inspection of load cell mounting gear, clean and repair as necessary. ii. Load cell cable integrity checks and replace as necessary. iii. Load cell integrity checks and replace on need basis. iv. Calibrate and assize the weighers as per trade measures inspectorate requirements. Site Visit Date: 16 June 2022 Station: Hwange Power Station
